The Next Step for Your Mammoth® Unit

Through the Re-Life® program, Nortek Air Solutions offers three options to help you keep the custom HVAC brand you’ve come to know and love. With the Re-Life program, you may be able to extend the life of your Nortek Air Solutions Mammoth-brand unit by replacing worn sections or upgrading internal components. Re-Life is designed for units typically less than 25 years old. A site assessment helps identify the best Re-Life solution for your specific equipment.

Evaporative Condenser Section Replacement

The evaporative condenser section typically experiences the greatest wear due to exposure to water, scale, and environmental contaminants. When this section reaches the end of its service life, a targeted replacement may be able to extend the unit’s life.

What’s Included

  • Factory-engineered replacement of the evaporative condenser section
  • Retention of the existing refrigeration system
  • Optional compressor replacement
  • Optional controls upgrade

Best Fit: Units that could benefit from a condenser section refresh while retaining strong mechanical performance and structural integrity.

Refrigerant Retrofit

When the unit’s cabinet, base, and curb remain in good condition, a refrigerant retrofit can replace aging internal components with modern technology, improving reliability and preparing the unit for the future without the need to replace the entire unit.

What’s Included

  • Replacement of all major internal components, including but not limited to :
    • Compressors
    • Coils
    • FANWALL
    • Refrigeration circuits
    • Controls

while retaining the existing cabinet, base, and curb.

  • Conversion to a modern, lower-GWP refrigerant such as R-513A or R-454B, depending on unit requirements and design. Refrigerant conversions should be evaluated for applicable regulatory, certification, and local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements, including requirements under the AIM Act where applicable.

Best Fit: Sites where replacing the complete unit is limited by site access or high crane costs, and where the unit's cabinet and base remain structurally sound.

Unit Replacement

When a site assessment shows that section replacement or refrigerant retrofit no longer provides the best value, a full unit replacement becomes the recommended path. We’ll replace the existing unit with a new Mammoth® unit designed to meet current performance, efficiency, and refrigerant standards.

Best fit: Units more than 25 years old or those experiencing widespread structural and mechanical deterioration.
