Nortek Air Solutions is excited to offer an integrated, cantilevered catwalk on both indoor and outdoor Ventrol®-brand units.
If your air handling unit is going to be installed in an elevated location, in a stacked layout, or in a difficult to reach area, consider including a catwalk. The catwalk will make it easier and safer to service the unit for both regular maintenance work and inspections.
Our catwalks are built in accordance with OSHA guidelines. What’s more, catwalks allow work to begin on the unit faster, resulting in less downtime.

Our catwalks are cantilevered, so the supports don’t block access to the electrical panels or the unit’s lower air tunnel
Catwalks require little to no maintenance and make performing maintenance on the unit easier and safer
Our catwalks are an integrated part of the unit itself—they’re not just bolted onto the unit—so they’re incredibly stable and sturdy. They’re installed at the factory, and the ladder to reach the catwalk is shipped loose for field installation. Field-installed catwalks from a third-party take extra time to install and should be signed off on by a structural engineer—ours don’t.
Catwalks are available in aluminum, painted galvanized steel, or stainless steel. All three options are corrosion-resistant and extremely strong and durable.
